Orbeat support
Questions, bugs, or feature ideas: I read every message and usually reply within a couple of days. The full list of questions is in the manual's FAQ.
Write to zhi@nonoaudio.com. I read everything.
Tell me your device, the iOS version and, for the AUv3, the host app.

How do I export a loop?
Tap the share icon in the top bar, choose a length (1, 2, or 4 bars, or a full polymeter cycle), and render a stereo WAV, or export a MIDI file for your DAW. The bounce renders exactly what you're hearing — custom kits and imported samples included. Export is part of Orbeat Pro; Export has the details.
Can I use my own sounds?
Yes. Tap + in the kit bar to make a custom kit, then set any lane to an audio file of your own — WAV, AIFF, mp3, up to 10 seconds. It plays once, at its original pitch, in stereo, and takes a clean path to the output (no kit saturation or bit-crush on top of it). Lanes you don't reassign keep their built-in synth voice, so you can mix your samples with Orbeat's own drums. Your first custom kit is free; more of them come with Pro.
Can I play Orbeat from a MIDI controller, or sync it to my gear?
Yes — note input is always on (each lane starts on a GM drum note, with velocity), and the standalone app can follow an external MIDI clock or an Ableton Link session. See the MIDI & sync guide for the note map, channel setting, and both sync walkthroughs.
What does Orbeat Pro unlock?
A single one-time purchase (no subscription) unlocks growing the circle past six lanes, Probability, polymeter (per-lane step counts), patterns B to H, WAV and MIDI export, unlimited saved beats in the project library, and extra custom kits. The rest is free forever: all four kits, the six-lane sequencer, Euclidean generators, swing, velocity, pan, per-lane tune, choke groups, saved MIDI maps, your first custom kit with your own samples, MIDI in & out, and Ableton Link.
Where are my saved beats stored?
On your device, in the app's own storage — projects, custom kits, and any audio you've imported. Orbeat keeps no account and uploads nothing: your beats never leave your iPhone or iPad unless you export and share them yourself.
Restore purchases
Open Settings (the gear icon) and tap Restore Purchases. Orbeat Pro is a one-time purchase tied to your Apple ID, so it restores for free on any device signed in to the same account. Inside a host, the plug-in picks Pro up from the app; if it was already open, close and reopen it. More in Free and Pro.
System requirements
iOS / iPadOS 16 or later, on iPhone and iPad. The AUv3 plug-in needs a host app that loads Audio Unit instruments, such as GarageBand, AUM or Logic.
